You paid with an AMEX GC over the phone? I don't think there's an option to choose debit or credit online. You just enter the card information.

I use prepaid Visa/MC CCs on Paypal all the time...Paypal doesn't care what address it is. Paypal even recognizes it as a prepaid CC. And I heard on these forums AMEX GC is even easier to use...

There is not a place that I can think of that because I use Citi wherever CC is accepted which makes 2% a default back.
