Thanks for the post! Bought another set. Took me til 34 to get into LEGO and it's a nice relaxing thing to do. Got a 2 car set so my wife can do one too.

I have had this happen too. I have started marking items as a gift, and so far none of those have come in a bubble mailer or shipped in just the retail box.

Amazon shipped my F40 and Porsche in a bubble mailer. Both boxes were damaged with the F40 having a gaping hole in it. So if you like to keep the boxes intact as a collector, don't buy from Amazon.
