It will remove the tension in both if you're a side sleeper. I have a compressed spine from my time in the army and this has helped with back and hip pain.

Have one of this and i found it uncomfortable. Better off using a thin pillow on your legs. It just goes on the knees, but what about the support in between the knee all the way to the upper legs?

It was too thick for me as an adult male. I thought these would be similar to swimming buoys. It was too uncomfortable but make great pillows to put under calves.
