Why not go Ryzen? Amd is much more upgrade friendly when it comes to cpus and mobo chipsets.

You don't need more than the ryzen 5600x, but you'll need a very beefy GPU to handle that in 4k.

$500 is a little tight. Probably you want to get a 10600 or 10600k, and use the integrated GPU. You can save for a better GPU in future. It is not good time to buy a GPU at this time.
