My suggestion (and what I do with stuff like this) is to only replace the ones you use and wear out with nice single piece items as needed instead of buying a full set. Do the same with drill bits...

A less clean edge usually means there was some splintering so you are sanding down more than you likely intended to route out. Plus, sanding sucks. 😄
