If you have a Roku and just need a cheap stick for HBO Max, this is worth it imo. Unless you need 4k HDR which HBO Max will support on their new movies they just announced coming over the next year.

they say alot of the lag is the fact youre using wifi, the older fire tv had an ethernet port. they do have ethernet adapters for the fire stick so i guess you could try that

If you don’t like the FTV remote I would recommend getting a universal remote that does both IR and RF. I picked up a Harmony companion + hub on sale for $50 and have been very happy with it.
