I’m running a 7010 SFF at home currently. It’s the i5 with 24GB ram, 1TB SSD, 4TB spinner, and a low profile GTX 1650. My SSD is in place of the dvd drive with a cheap slim drive adapter. Not a bad...

There are better deals on 7th-8th gen celerons at ebay for almost the same price. 3rd gen intel doesn't have AES or QuickSync. Requires DDR3 ram. PCIe is gen 3 though

Currently showing as 164.99 with the presumed cheapest reseller. I'd be curious whether WalMart stands by the warranty.

Don't bother, for the same money you can get a t3600, s30, or z420 that's vaaaaastly more capable and will power a faster GPU. I sprung for a z420 with an E5-1650v2 and some other goodies for $200.

all I would wish it had is HDMI 2.0 or something that can send 60 fps at 4K if I had your intentions.

I don't know you guys but if your area has Universities you should check with their surplus department. They could be listed for at few as $20. This is also where most of those "refurbished"...

I'm still using an i5-750 (no, not a typo, not a 7500) as my main rig. Of course, it's OC'ed to 3.6Ghz, but it still works. Mostly!

Guys.. this has an old CPU from 2012 and runs Windows 10 Home, not PRO. I say go to Ebay and buy an HP Elitedesk 800 G1 or G2. G1 would be cheaper and has the processor from 2013/2014 which...

1 Change the CPU to i5-3475s or i7-3770 (or even i3-3245), 2 add an SSD now it is MacOS Catalina ready. :P

It's 8 yrs old and these are all off lease very well used machines. Guess the one plus is that there are tons of dead ones out there for parts.... They are on the 7090 now.

Looking to surf the web, run stock trading software, and watch videos (YouTube and maybe KODI). I also plan on hooking up to a 50ish inch TV. Is this PC sufficient?
Post #142610854 added 11-22-2020 8:45 AM by ZakT659 in Deal Talk
It probably only has storage for two sata drives, three if you can find a 5.25" to dual 2.5" adapter. Not worth it when you can get the MT (matx) version on eBay for the same or less money.

The SFF does have 2 DP plus the VGA, as do the rest of the 7010s per Dell's site. The pictures at the link are not of 7010 SFF; the rear pic is a USFF and may not even be a 7010 at all.

I wouldn't say this is it, but taking a 3rd generation Intel CPU Dell Optiplex and adding a specific dedicated graphics card makes it a very capable machine for middle-end performance in video games....
