you are not the only one. that is the biggest downside with the myQ design . . . it theory it sounds good, but in application it's a terrible idea (remote tilt sensor on battery). so many things...

That's weird... I have myQ integrated with my Google Assistant - it will only open, but not close the garage door. Basically worthless. Maybe there's been an update recently?

No fee if u only use it to remotely control the close/open of the garage door from ur phone. And also set up timer to close the garage door at night so I don’t accidentally leave it open.

I have the MyQ and have never paid a fee. Edit: maybe I did pay a few bucks to be able to close it with Google Assistant.

Like others have noted, I have the black version of the hub/sensor and pay no fees whatsoever to use it. Works great to open/close garage door with their app. Just recently (after a year maybe)...

It is a good deal if you need one or both. Sell one off if not needed. Those home depot cams are YMMV and full price in my area.
