bowl lift is always better because if the bowl is pretty full, the tilt will push the ingredients out of the bowl sometimes. It gets messy. The bowl lift is much cleaner

I believe 6qt has metal gears vs plastic gears in 5qt. I’ve burned up and rebuilt two 5qt models making large (5 pizza) batches of pizza dough in them. 6qt is a champ at large batch pizza dough.
