Klipsch is a reputable company. If they said 1W standby I would expect as much. Again, a problem with detection circuits is the possibility that they are detecting a phantom signal.

Exactly what I did; got an after-market bluetooth device (w/power on/off switch) and connected it no problem. Speakers sound great and hooks up to my phone via bluetooth now!

I had the 5.1 THX ones, and the fuse blew out in the sub, rendering it useless. Took about 2-3 years of usage before they died.
