Well, I left it plugged in overnight and disconnected from an audio source. The consumption is still the same in the morning, around 17 wats.

Also consider that power is going somewhere, probably becoming heat. Worth considering in smaller well insulated rooms.

Klipsch is a reputable company. If they said 1W standby I would expect as much. Again, a problem with detection circuits is the possibility that they are detecting a phantom signal.

Just FYI, I have these from 20 years ago. The manual also said a 1w draw with no signal back then.

These speakers will exceed your expectations. If you think Echo and HomePod sound great these are miles better used as a computer speaker. Nothing can exceed this sat/sub combo for less than $800....

I've seen the reports from users of Kill-a-Watt readings of 10-15W at idle from as early as 2007 to just a couple months ago (from someone who purchased from Costco), so it seems to be pretty...

Per an earlier post of mine, Klipsch made one with BT but it seems it wasn't popular as it has been discontinued. Perhaps they figure the people who still want 2.1 systems are either likely to be...

Two things: 1. Are they measuring the latest version? 2. If yes, are they letting the system go into sleep/standby mode? It's possible their source is delivering some sort of constant output...

Thanks for finding that, but others have measured actual power draw of 10-15W with no input. And based on the fact that the subwoofer enclosure remains warm all the time I'm inclined to believe those...
