When they say "Installation Required" in the title, what they mean is that you can't just buy it and plug it into your car, but either you or someone needs to take time to install it in your car....

If you have Total Tech it is only $140 which includes installation. They said install would be 1.5 hrs. Bought 2 this morning.

Yes it will shut down after some time. Also you can't drive without inserting your key and turning it to ON position. Engine will shut down once you depress brake pedal.

No they don't do that anymore. They did before 2010 when immobilizer keys were relatively new. it keeps your key info inside the unit.
