A bit new to TV mounts pardon the ignorance. Would this fit a VESA 300x200 (the Vizio OLED 55)? As long as the numbers are higher in the spec, it would, right? (e.g. up to 600x400 for this mount)

You may want to research what “16” on center” means.

So I got the 65" Onn from Walmart... specs on the SD page say it's 400 x 200 VESA. I already ordered the Target TV mount, but kinda curious about this one. Seems nice that it is adjustable, but......

Then wait for ones to open. People should put more effort into repurposing/recycling/giving away (e.g. Craigslist) electronics than piling any "junk". Oftentimes, people are lazy and selfish and...

If someone knows they have 24” OC studs, they’re probably also going to know that’s very uncommon.

Had a similar issue in a previous home. Another commenter spoke to using a 2x6 span to cover your stud spread (probably 36” for your situation to cover 3 studs - center and one in either direction)...

thanks. Do you know if HF will accept coupons on their BF specials? I have a single arm version of a TV mount and it tilts with a 65" TV. Seems like a double arm mount would help minimize...

Been needing to pick up a mount that can come out and adjust. The 55" would be way off center in our new master bedroom with a standard mount. Looks like this will do the trick. Thanks OP.

Depends on exterior vs interior. Exterior 2x6 is common as you've mentioned, but not interior non-load bearing.

$33.79 This Mount is an incredible value, I own two. Massively overengineered, can easily hold any tv that is 600x400 vesa pattern or smaller. Allows tv to rotate a full 180 degrees (if it’s small...

All this talk about studs being 16 OC or 24 OC... If I am going to mount above my fireplace, I have a stud right in the center and then 16 OC from there. Most mounts I've seen seem to not have center...

24” c/c ? Is it a temporary shed? Unless you have fence or 8x8 column post there then the struts are temp. Wood is a very poor eng material, has poor flex strength ( depend on several properties)....

I put up a 65" TCL completely by myself with this mount. The directions exactly point out to put the first screw in half way before trying to latch it on. It was super easy.

There's a lot of better uses for "spare" working tvs than throwing them in the trash. Donate, sell, recycle etc. That comment makes me want to throw YOU in the trash! Heck, they are making new people...

Run a small board from stud to stud and then center the mount up according to the room. Worked in living room. Studs put TV off center so ran a board and TV covered up the board.

Totally agree. A sheet of 3/4" plywood would not project out as far and would better tie the studs together.

They use 24" OC when "going green" because they're using 2x6 studs. This allows for more thickness of insulation as well as fewer studs creating a thermal bridge. It's much more expensive than 2x4...
