Most of amazon is pretty weak value nowadays. They know majority of people will go with them for convenience on a lot of things. Usually more expensive than other locations. But they stopped caring.

Looks like it's primarily the junk and rip-off titles, where someone basically copies someone elses book with bonus typos and sells it as their own, basically an audio version of K unilimited.

Oh yeah local library does have digital content in my area through the Libby app. Only catch is typically that digital content has a wait time of several weeks for a lot of the good stuff.

For normal ebooks, yes, but my local library, at least, doesn’t have many good audiobooks. As others have stated audible plus does allow ‘free’ listening to many good but a bit older audiobooks....
