I've got this lens, it is VERY lightweight, probably lighter than the kit pancake zoom lens even though this is somewhat bigger. You can hear the focus motors, so not good for video work as the sound...

I did some research and I am in for one to use with my a7iii. Apparently it performs reasonably well on newer Sony full frame bodies with the latest firmware updates.

The lens is $200, and any professional can take fantastic pictures with it. It certainly isn't the best lens they have, but for lenses, made by Sony (not a 3rd party) it is arguably the best value...

Slow auto focus, noisy motor, poor coatings, and MSRP at launch was $250 and very shortly dropped to $200. Not hot IMO

Go with the Sigma 56mm f1.4 when it goes on sale if you shoot with Sony crop sensor budget cams, you’ll be much happier
