Actually very good advice when cutting threads. More cutting fluid is better and take it easy. Do a slow first pass.. go back and forth. Slow and steady. Rechase the threads. It will work great.

The key is to lube the hole before you tap it. You get much better results when the hole is lubed.

I live 40 miles from closest auto parts store. You dont always need a tool while they are open. Plus I quit getting ripped off at the local parts stores years ago. I avoid them like the plague.

You would just flick the lever to put it in reverse if you wanted to back it out. May not be ideal for you but it still has it’s place.

Typically I lube just the tip but sometimes lube the entire shaft prior to tapping the hole.

So far I have only used one of the dies and it fixed my semi stripped M6 1.0 bolt. The set doesn’t seems to be a poor made set despite it’s made in China. It did the job for me so I am keep it.

I have the 60 pc you can get for $32 at HF. If you only need the occasional use it's fine and can really save your ass if you're in a bind. It's not as fancy as this but it's nearly 1/3 the price....

Titanium is not that hard of a material...Use lube and reduce the bolt diameter close to die size before rethread.
