The slider broke on mine in the first few days, I ended up fixing it but wouldn't really recommend this unless you want to ditch the case/slider and wrap in electrical tape or Sugru

They do, no need for heatsinks, just higher grade nand. These low grade drives use scrap nand or something, bottom of the barrel and stagnant performance for years now.
