Stay away from ceramic heaters. They are not energy efficient and constant fan noise is getting on your ears. Buy a quality oil radiator heater for nice silent constant heating.

More or less, yes. But to be more accurate, heaters also produce a minuscule amount of radiation and light. So you can't really claim they are 100% efficient.

The tripod configuration won't get kicked over. It's like slamming your trunk of your car at night with the lights on. Over time it eats light bulbs. Same thing happen with that mainstays design.
