As long as you don't care about x86 gaming, that's a great deal. M1 chip is more powerful than the CPUs in numerous far more expensive computers.

That may also be why some people want the 16gb of ram - to extend the life of the ssd which is also non-replaceable and has a much shorter lifespan.
