Exact same thing happened to me. The part that locks the device in place is made of cheap, soft plastic and lasted only a couple days before it stripped out. I'm returning mine.

Bought this and returned it. Where the holder joins with the arm it wouldn’t sit flush and wouldn’t screw on tight. Any adjustment of the holder would cause the holder part to come free from the arm....
