How do you clean the ashes on this grill? I heard that this doesn’t have an ash tray. Also, most of the reviews state that they have problems with cracking in the inner ceramic after few uses. Did...

There is not a removable ash tray like some have but I usually use a small shop vac to vacuum out the ashes in mine through the lower vent. There is a hairline crack in my inner firebox in one small...

I agree with the poster that said to go with the Jr even if it cost $100 more. If you have the need or swing for the Classic I that is or was on sale recently at Kamado Joe for $600 that would be...

My recommendation is to return it if you already think it's small otherwise you will end up upgrading in the very near future. I bought the Akorn because I didn't want to swing too much for a grill...

I have the Walmart version with the smaller stand and this has been an excellent grill. I have a KJ Classic II for bigger cooks but, for my wife and I, this little grill is perfect, uses less...

Kamado Joe Jr in a heartbeat! I bought one of these, although they're ok, I ended up getting a Joe Jr. Way better quality! And only $50 more..... Besides it'll match your Big Joe later.

Go for the Joe Jr. Even if it was $100 more, it's worth it.

I have a similar experience. But unlike others here who seems to more or less blindly recommend the Joe, I will say that my Joe junior is the worse kamado I got. I had an acorn, green egg and a...

I would be unhappy if I had that many problem...I would think Kamado Joe can help you with warranty replacement on parts but not on the paint. I learned that Kamado Joe doesn't sell the paint for...

Not true. The Kamado Joe Jr. has more surface area to cook. The 15' is the overall size of the this Kamado not the cooking area. I'd go with the Kamado Joe Jr. Warranty is awesome with Kamado.

I passed on the Kamado Joe jr for $299, it’s to small for a turkey, and I don’t want to waste 6 hrs cooking anything. Lump charcoal is expensive. I have a propane roaster that does a pork roast...
