Doubt it. Unlikely with this lens. Wide open the minimum aperture is f/4, if you zoom in (as I expect you will want to for indoor sports), it very quickly goes to 6.3. Maybe with a faster lens,...

Most important thing is, it is RF Mount Lens. 24mm wide end is a big difference. With lens mount difficult to find and with expensive RF glass, it is really good deal

A7 III is more like Canon R. RP is similar to 6d mark 2 with reduced continuous shooting speed. Week sensor compared to A7 IIII and R.

Did you place the order. Try calling Canon. They might process a 10% refund. Make sure you have old camera S/N number and model number. No need to send the camera.

Id argue the RF is better in most regards, IQ should be slightly better, AF performance is unmatched, lens profiles are phenomenal, 5 stops IS vs none, and its actually RF mount.
