This is mostly for serious runners who want to track pace and distance accurately. I assumed the Samsung would has lower sampling rate for pace and distance, and the GPS tracking is not as good.

If you're looking for a garmin for just running I would go for the 645 Music for $229. Latest GPS, music, wifi, payments, which the 735xt does not have. A bit more but a much better watch.
