I decided to go into dewalt ecosystem. And seeing them constantly do well on Project Farm Greeks very validating for my uneducated guess.

Great price! CPO via eBay has these for 160 periodically but mine never arrived, lost in the mail. CPO was a pain to deal with for refunds too..

In a 20v tool, no. A 6AH flexvolt battery delivers 2AH at 60 volts or 6ah at 20 volts. The real benefit of these is being able to break into the 60v line if you need it. If you want a 60V...

For the average homeowner - it doesn't matter which one you choose ,if you are just starting off. If you already have some tools by one vendor you might as well stick with them to be able to swap...

Dewalt goes on sale more so I went team yellow. Milwaukee seems to win shootouts more but dewalt wins some too but they are both excellent brands.

If using these on a 60v platform, consider it having the life of a 3ah battery

Thanks for posting your 12ah deal. I had taken a serious look at it and was very tempted as it is 12ah after all, the most massive flexvolt battery in terms of capacity. The only reasons I held back...

FlexVolt batteries can run FlexVolt tools, and supply extra power to FlexVolt Advantage tools. They are three row batteries, so they're physically larger than the two row XR 6 and 8 AH batteries.

I already have several XR tools and just trying to figure out if I need to upgrade my batteries to FlexVolt.. it seems like I will be adding more weight to my gear for an extra juice.. is it worth it?
Post #143421416 added 12-05-2020 9:36 AM by sixtyfive_ford in Deal Talk
No. At 60volts these are only 2ah.

Dewalt is better because they are trying to pull out of communist China. A lot of their tools are assembled in the USA now. Milwaukee is all made in China. This is why I went with dewalt

I have put a Flexvolt battery in my 7.25 miter saw and it sounds like it sounds faster than with a regular battery. I put one in the orbital sander and it sounded the same.

Yeah that’s just like including cash back in calculating your deal...lol still a pretty good deal at $150ish depending on what you add on.

I suspect Coffeelover696969 was trying to say that these 2ah batteries on 60v tools behaves similarly to 3ah batteries on a 20v tools in terms of runtime.

Milwaukee warranty is 100% better than dewalt. I am a dewalt fan, but last 2 times i needed something fixed it cost labor. 3/1 dewalt, 5/5 milwaukee. warranty/labor

Not unless you think you might add FV or FA tools to your arsenal down the line, no. And those are often in kits anyway.

Yes. And that's where the advertised amp hours come from. It's a 6.0AH battery at 20 volts. It's a 2AH battery at 60 volts.

Who cares about the extra weight? You have two hands, or just do more shoulder exercises. I’d gladly take the extra juice
