FlIRc was the best back in the day of MCE. Those were the days.... Now though, my Harmony remote with the hub ($50) connects to my pc via bluetooth. It controls the Plex app flawlessly....

What makes Kodi so nice is that it can be controlled by so many things. Laptops for example only need a keyboard. Standard desktops, a mouse. Firestick's and Shields, a hand held remote.
