Overall, this is an excellent deal. I like how fast and responsive it feels. Beware though, the memory is soldered to the motherboard and there's no expansion slot so you are stuck with 8GB. Walmart...

IMO no, thats $300-$350 IMO esp if no lit keys or fingerprint reader, may not have. That one may be upgradeable RAM and/or drive tho. This one prob not the RAM, maybe not the ssd either but better...

3500 is plenty fast, but the build quality of this line of laptops is very poor. i had one break after a couple of months of use along with buggy bios. i recommend either a different brand or model.

FYI the 3500U processor is fine, but it's older and there are so many more laptops out there at this same price level with the 4000 series processors which are better.

You mean 4000 series. Officially those are 3rd gen Ryzen mobile APUs, as there was no 1000 series for laptops. Confusing. (Even more confusingly, the architecture is Zen 2).
