Good call, I think I may get the 2000 too, didn't even know they had a upgraded version. I agree with many of the comments here that you get what you pay for

Saw the CAP bench in my local SoCal Costco a few days ago. Maybe it's a January thing.

Just an update for anyone wondering, I got this bench a few days ago, really easy to assemble. If you assemble it right and line things up correctly, the bench is very sturdy, I'm 220lbs and have no...

Got it today. Good old FedEx... 5 days late. Atleast box was in good shape.
Very sturdy - I agree with foot/shin padding being needed. Butt padding could be a bit better also if I am to be...

Same experience here. Feels pretty sturdy even in my carpeted apartment. Seems great with all dumbell exercises.
Edit: meant to quote previous phone but can't figure out how to fix it in noble

Received the bench. Assembled in 5 minutes. Although looks somewhat flimsy, feels pretty darn sturdy end exceeded my expectations so far. 5 stars out of 5, not even taking the price into account.

I ended up going with the Fitness Reality 2000 Super Max bench for the reasons being discussed above actually. It cost about twice as much but after research I’m hoping it’s a better long term...

Not understanding how the gap impacts things. Isn't the gap where the curve of your back is, and not touching anything anyways if it was filled it?
I get mine today so I guess I will find out. ...

Typically the weight capacity rating is the maximum the bench can support: user + iron weights = capacity.
If I weigh 200 pounds, then the max weight I could load up would be 600 lbs for a total...

Yeah, I think this is a case of you get what you pay for and to have proper expectations. I wouldn't trust something like this to work with a real lifting setup (i.e. olympic bar + set of weights)....

To all of those who asking if this is worth it, yes, it is. I have this and used it for the last 6 months. Totally worth it at the $89 price. Solidly built and great for a home gym set up.
