just got one for our kitchen. Our old one is foot operated and makes a squeezing noise even after oiling it. Time for a new one!

Speaking of wheelchairs there is a special needs child I have to deal with currently living in the same household - will his head get caught in this or do I need to find a different robo can?

Hard pass. These motion sensor ones always break out of warranty.

Every single motion sensor controlled trash can I have ever seen in others' houses were broken.

Everytime I go to Walmart, these cans are always dented. Isn't this the normal price anyways?

Bought a month ago. It is working perfectly fine. Takes 2 D batteries so I am expecting the batteries to last more than a year at least.

I’ve had a few of these all different brands and the most common problem is they all have plastic gears that don’t last, on top of that food and other gunk get into the gears and the lids barely open...

I bought one last time this deal came in, its a nice trashcan for the price. The motion activated lid gets annoying when you are cooking and need to constantly go to the trash but I just leave the...

I keep checking here for the Costco one in hopes they’ll bring it back- we got two for 39$? Something each several years ago and they are very well made. They do take 6aa batteries I think but so...

I can't argue that these won't break over time. But I'm confident in saying the foot versions break pretty easily as well.

TU on the deal, but I also had a batt operated can that often did not work correctly and/or ate through batteries (took 4 D batts). I wanted a foot operated can, but knew many of the inexpensive...

I’d highly recommend foot-activated over motion sensors. These don’t work long-term.

We bought a Simple Human can at BBB maybe a little over a year ago. Even with the 20% coupon I thought it was a little expensive. Then just last weekend the foot pedal broke.
