I loved Nioh 1, but I thought some of the optional battles were hard as hell, much harder than any souls boss. The fight with the ninja dude, ninja girl, and ninja frog at the same time for example....

Agreed. I enjoyed this and the first Nioh, a lot. But they are not on Miyazaki's level in so many ways. Great games for sure, but not trendsetting, genre-defining masterpieces.

Single player mode is brutally hard. However, it’s really fun in co-op. Would recommend if you have friend to play with.

Good game. I feel that you need to tough it out for a few levels until you unlock better skills. Also getting a feel for the enemies attack so you know when to dodge or guard helps a lot.
