I have the 431P2. Even with 4GB (memory upgradeable on that model) of memory, that one is still under power and very slow. I am using It as backup NAS now. Not recommend this model as main NAS too.

For that price, one should get 453Be or better yet 453D. Even 253D is a better choice than 431, unless you really want RAID 5. I have 431P2, 453Be and 253D and I consider 431P2 a mistake purchase.
