The SK Hynix is a high end gen 3 and has comparable R/W speeds (iops wise) to this XPG drive which is on the slow end of gen 4. The only real difference being this is 2tb for almost double the cost...

same here, I have prime and there is no coupon offered. The price is also at $239, so even with the 30 off coupon, it would come out to $209, a farcry from the $124 listed by the OP

Not bad for a gen 4 2tb, but it appears all you are getting is the interface and not the speed. I wouldnt waste a 4.0 slot with this if I had multiple drives.

Have this very drive in my most recent build (at a much higher price!). Great drive. Gets you into Gen4 territory without all the cost of the top-end drives. But outperforms the Gen3 drives.

Well shoot, I just learned that the heatsink can get in the way of some mobos. Not worth tearing off the heatsink and potentially damaging the product imo.
