I have a two monitor holder similar to this. These are much better than standing monitors on a desk and especially useful if you live in earthquake prone areas.

This requires a hole in the desk, no?

Nope, it's got a clamp, you can see it in the pictures.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Just to clarify: have you tried tightening the adjustment pin behind the monitor? AFAIK its purpose is exactly that - to adjust tension. In either case, would...

When I was researching these, the problem with the pneumatics was that all but the highest end ones eventually lose tension. I have two of the single VIVO arms and they are rock solid and will...

Nice, i've been looking for something that would work with my older 34" Acer that weighs like 26lbs. This looks like it should work. I'm going to try it, thanks for the share on that one.

Beware, this isn't adjustable if you have 2 different monitor sizes.

The plates are attached to the arm. You might be able to remove them, but they're not a "slip in and out" style of bracket.

I'm really interested in this but don't know what to look for in a monitor stand outside size compatibility. Is there anything I should be aware of?

Make sure your monitor has VESA mount (the 4 screw mounting points on the back) compatibility and at what size. I believe there’s 120mm and 75mm. Seems as long as your monitor falls into the weight...

Can anyone comment on how these Chinese crafts compare to Amazon Basics arms, which I believe Ergotron makes for them?

Hate my Amazon dual arm. Kludge, hard to use/setup, low height.
