I got my (hopefully 2nd gen) elite strap direct from Oculus yesterday. So far its a nice improvement, but I will say I actually didn't mind the elastic default straps. I think probably is more worth...

I would suggest do the Frankenquest 2 mod.. It is more expensive, $120, but worth it.

They took it off the shelf on their official store website for a while, then they put it back for sale. Not sure if there was any quality change. They did extended its warranty though.
