nice build but single thread performance is very low... 1748 which is about sandy bridge levels. for comparison i7 3770 is like 2100. also why only 8gb ram?

There is no reason to think the PS will have issues or die. A good line conditioner and decent cooling and it should last for years. Brown outs happen and very difficult to detect
