Costco sells these and I guess my experience was different. I have an open bag and a sealed bag in my pantry, and there's a Ziploc with some in my desk at work.

They are pretty salty and oily, but what I did was buy some unseasoned nuts and mixed them in with this. Result was great tho a bit more work.

a strainer (mesh type) tends to get the salt stuck, depending on the square size but the bigger it is the better. Colander would probably be best.
