Maverick cards are "paper crap" cards, not plasticote. They wear quickly and never feel like good cards even when brand new. Single day used cards from the $0.50 bin at the casino are far better.

If you go to the casino, you should just buy the slightly used sets they sell for $1. The cut/trim two corners but they are very good quality.

I've tried several playing cards, the cheaper ones like maverick just don't hold up as long to beer spills, food, shuffling, etc. Best brand imho would be a tie between Copag and Bicycle...

I use cheap cards like this on woodworking/metal fab projects that need ultra thin shims. Can add and subtract cards as needed, and not worry about damaging them.

I used to perform card tricks for my friends & family. Couldn't agree more! Maverick cards were the worst that I'd ever used. Bicycle Fire edition was the best deck of cards that I had ever used.
