Got mine from last week... Absolute steal of a deal. Basically a more functional mini with 4 free smart bulbs. Ordered another set.
I do like it the clock, but the microphone is terrible. My google home mini can hear me from across the house while I’m struggling to get my Lenovo to listen to me from 5 feet away.

You can actually enable "night mode" in google home and adjust the brightness around certain hours.

Can you turn down the lighted numbers? Don’t want anything too bright in my bedroom.
This is a great deal! I bought 4 of them. In essence, you get 3 sets for the price of 1.

I once had a bright clock that I fixed by covering with cheap plastic window tint film. Add layers as needed.

A bit better, but still distortion when trying to get to max volume.

The mics are not great and the sound quality is awful as expected, but it's still a good price for a good alarm clock.

I need the clock but not the bulbs. Plus I already have 4 of these bulbs sitting on a shelf and not being used. Interested in trading the clock for 4 more bulbs?

Nevermind I was mixing them up with the older ones and whoever said it needed a hub.

Yes they will work. You can turn them on and off with a switch like normal lights. And you can control them from your phone with an app.

I believe this comment is wrong. The box literally states "Simple setup without a hub". My experience with similar products is downloading a specific application, link up with the lights and connect...

So you were able to control the lights from Alexa or it only recognized them? For my C by GE stuff Alexa always gives me a “cannot connect to server” error. Based on Amazon reviews I’m certainly not...
