There is no definite time for how long synthetic lubricants should last before expiring. For some manufacturers of synthetic oil such as Mobil, their synthetic oil should last for five years.

No. Don't do it. It's too thick for your 50K engine. And more over, it is not the grade that manufacturer recommended.

I wouldn’t use high mileage unless you plan from then on to continue to use high mileage ONLY, since it “conditions” the seals which makes them swell up but if switched to regular synthetics...
