Actually USB-C to HDMI does not work. You need USB or USB-C to display port. Once you have a display port then use a display port to HDMI adapter. Its weird and not so great with a double adapters.

Did you ever get this to work with 4k? I have the same problem. Everything is great except no resolution over 4k even after doing a clean Windows install and updating to the latest intel UHD driver.

I can't believe people still use the trackpad on laptops. I have never been able to use that track pad efficiently and not sure why you wouldn't just use a Bluetooth mouse. I guess to each their own...
