If you are debating size, 35L is reasonable in size and about the size of a typical duffle. The other sizes are freaking HUGE. Here is a video that shows their sizes a bit better ...

Look for the SealLine backpacks. I have the pro version. It costs a bit more but it has a much better backpack frame with a hip strap. I've used it for many trips to the boundary waters and canoeing...
