IMO not worth an upgrade from 8700k I currently have, considering MOBO upgrade needed on top. 5-10% gain at most for gaming. Better wait for next generation.

I have been happy with my 9900ks and z390 setup. I don't think I have had any BSOD on this system. I won't need to upgrade for awhile. Will look at it when DDR5 and PCIE 5 are out.

Problem with Alder Lake is that instead of adding more big cores, Intel limited the big cores to just 8 and added a bunch of little cores to it. Makes perfect sense on a laptop with limited power...
