As long as your Bluetooth headset/earbuds have a mic, this should work just fine. What made you believe otherwise?

It’s maybe an 1/8 inch of gap so maybe if you modify it

All good info, just wanted to add for those that don't already have a LL headset, vanilla aptX at around 120ms is still acceptable (for me at least) with games that don't punish a little latency....

Still works for me, 8:41 PM EST. Are you using the promo code at checkout?

Anybody know of an option that's compatible with a case?

Technically Bluetooth is built into the switch. That’s how it communicates to the joy cons. They just don’t use it for audio. Maybe because it would create latency for the controllers.

Bro, all bluetooth is bidirectional by definition. You are reading too much into the info you are looking at. Bluetooth transmitter really means it's the central / master device. Bluetooth...

No, thankfully we can be lazy and stay on our couch. the Switch can change the volume of the console while docked using the controller. Just hold down the home button and get to the menu that usually...

I didn’t see a mention of a mic or speaking anywhere in the description or the reviews. Also, the description states “5. This is a Bluetooth transmitter not a receiver, it will bring audio resource...

Not really a deal. Was randomly looking into Bluetooth audio for Switch and it's been this price. Not sure how this is different, but it has a different product page. Appears to be the same...

Works great, I wish it sat flush when plugged in though.

Trying to understand this thing. Does the USB provide a audio output device? So if using this w/ Windows, you'd just change the audio output to the new audio output device and you're good?

I have never tried via Bluetooth, but you certainly can with a headset that has a mic plugged into the headphone jack. My kid uses that for fortnite and talks with his friends all the time.

Switch was my first console since the Wii and I was expecting so many cool features like being able to use Bluetooth headphones and being able to play Spotify in the background instead of the in-game...

I have these, got them on a deal a while back. My main issue is they don’t sit flush with the switch. The usb c is slightly to long and sticks out.
Post #145610653 added 02-25-2021 11:52 AM by DaMack in Deal Talk
That's why it comes with the usb-c to usb-a adapter to let you plug it onto the side of your dock

Do you think it sticks out enough for a thin case to fit underneath?
Post #145613146 added 02-25-2021 1:53 PM by davr in Deal Talk
Yes, I do this with a separate adapter (it's a funny shape though, since it's meant to mount on the switch, but it's handy that you can use it for either purpose)

Most bluetooth headsets have an unacceptably high latency for gaming, the audio would be completely out of sync with the game (a quarter second is not uncommon). Users would blame Nintendo for this...

Crazy thing is that the switch does have working Bluetooth. It's what's used to connect to the joycons. They just disabled audio for some reason.

yes both sides must support the codec. I got the falwedi s6 and they do support LL. They are pretty decent and pretty cheap. aptx LL headphones and earbuds are hard to find / search for.

For this, it wouldn't matter I think. AptX low latency is on a few bluetooth/wi-fi headphone devices but basically no real hardware devices (phones, tablets) built in, which is frustrating to say...

Thanks, I was wondering about that as well. Another question, if you using it docked how do you control the volume level if your earbuds don't have volume control? Will you have to use the volume...

I use a similar device (which supports 2-way) to chat with friends on fortnite on the switch. It definitely is supported.
