I have the 20lbs version of this. The quality seems fine, easy to grip. However, it feels lighter than my steel dumbbells. I never weigh these so I’m not sure if it’s actually lighter. But for this...

I'm no expert, but I thought $1/lb was the 'standard' set for a decent deal on IRON/metal weight plates. Doesn't this seem like a lot to pay for clunky cement and sand filled weights??

Seems pricey for sand weights. Even at the height of COVID when metal plates were going for $3/lb it was tough getting $1/lb for these.

True weight is weight but the amount you can put on the bar with these fat plates is rather limiting. I would have to go back to curling my purse with a bunch of heavy books lol

Pass unless you are desperate. You can buy cap 1” plates and spin lock handles if you regularly check Walmart. Those will be so much nicer.

Just keep in mind the weight plates are plastic. Also, they are fairly light individually and you can only get so many on the bar. Seems like a good price if you're getting started though!

How do you guys store these and use them so that they don't roll over your toe or something? If it's a plastic shell, sometimes they crack depending on how you handle them.

I ordered a pair earlier, seems like a great price. I'm don't expect them to last forever, just long enough until I feel comfortable going to the gym.
