It's very confusing. The C type of port is independent of what it can or not do. A standard that's not real standard at all.

I don’t think it’s an issue. I would much rather plug in a quality hub, with just the ports that I need. Also I never feel comfortable plugging in cheap flash drives into my expensive MBP USB ports....
