Didn't know they still made vinyl dumbbells. Do they still fill them with concrete like back in the old days? I still have some from the 80's, but didn't lift a lot back then or use them now.

I purchased a couple sets online in the past. All 6 sets arrived damaged with the vinyl leaking crushed cement. Walmart offered a partial refund. Don't expect much but its still a good deal.

Untrained out of shape male between 18-50 can probably curl 20-25 easy. I had a health scare where I couldn't touch any weight or exercise at all other than light cardio for two years and I could...

Women realistically will not curl 40lbs for reps safely ever. Watch fitness competitor routines, I'd say 20-25 is average for curls. The strict curl record is 78 pounds for a woman and that's someone...

Bought this set last year. Mediocre set but gets the job done. I thought it was 40 lbs each but it's a set of 20 lbs (you get 4x 7.5lb and 4x 2.5lbs, so its 10 pounds per side of each dumbbell)...

I use 5lbs and my arms get tiring. Planning to move up to 10lbs. Don't know how some people can lift 40lbs.

My 2lbs hurt my arms.... I guess in 6 months I'll go up to 3, then a year after 5, and maybe when I'm 90 I'll get to 20.

These are cement filled. Bulky, can't really expand them due to bulk, cement can break and cause a mess. I would personally look for iron weights when they are in sale at $1/lb

From the picture it look like you can fit another 7.5lb instead of 2.5lb. I'm curious if you can make 2 set of 30lb if you buy 2.

I'm going to agree that they aren't super comfortable. They do the job, and beggars can't be choosers with fitness equipment, but I don't love them.

It is a matter of perception. You can be in the center of the world or the right cost.
