I purchased the onion one before. I feel there is the issue that most onions don't fit inside. In addition, a half-used onion gets stuck in the container.

While I like the deal, it looks like they are entirely plastic, as opposed being glass with only a plastic lid. I would have snagged some were they glass.

This container has a silicone seal to keep it air tight. Honestly, we don't use the locking mechanism, it's not like we're transporting it around or trying to keep racoons at bay.

This entire line of Lock and Lock are fantastic quality. Plastic or not. I have some Lock and Lock and the seal is still strong. BTW Lock n lock makes a glass line with plastic covers.

they work pretty well, just don't take them out from the freezer and immediately try to open them, brittle plastic hinges broke that way.
