You won't be able to activate a new SIM on post or pre. But using am already activated SIM should work. At least I've sold other total wireless locked phones to those who had Verizon in the past

How did you do the update ..... by just turning the phone on when connected to WiFi or later when it asked your permission to download and install updates ? My A50 looks like it already came...
