That’s not Ultrawide support though. Because the aspect ratio is still 16:9 and not 21:9 it’s just been stretched like you said.

You are right 2K is just the Cinema aspect ratio with a 1080px vertical. A lot of marketing for no-name cameras and displays use 2K for 1440p since 1440p can be cropped down into 2K.
