These come up all the time. I just get a lamp socket splitter for less than $2 and use a spare bulb. Need more light? Get more splitters. ...

One of the reviews on amazon says they measured 80w. Not sure if they are right or if the seller's description is right.

When these work, they're amazingly bright. Just be warned that when panels fail (and they will), the perceived brightness also drops in 1/3 or 2/3 depending on how many fail. but when they're...

Yep exactly, 6500k is a bit too white/blue I'm more of a 3-4k color

Haha, was thinking the exact same thing! Would like to give these multi-panel style lights a try, but they're all 6500K. Such artificial blue light. Where's the 4000K version at?

It will get roughly as hot as a 150 watt incandescent. That’s way too hot to touch, and would definitely heat up a closet or small room noticeably if on for a while.
Post #146258408 added 03-26-2021 6:41 AM by Rand4 in Deal Talk
these are 15000 lumens average 800 lumen bulb(60w equiv) uses 9w These are producing the 19x the light so 150w consumed seems about right.. if anything slightly optimistic

I've never tried one of these that just screws in, but considering how hot LED get and with this much juice it just seems like this will get that light housing pretty damn warm

Given the strange names these Chinese companies use to sell their products here, I wouldn't be surprised to see a light with that name.

Bought one of these about 3-4 weeks ago, not this specific brand but similar. Finishing the basement, put walls up in the laundry/utility space and even with 100W bulbs, it was dim. Holy cow is...

Suspicious of anything that pops up on FP as often as these do.

I doubt these are actually drawing 150w. That's an insane amount of power for LEDs. It's likely that are talking about the incandescent equivalent or something.

True, but these are 150w models... That's a lot of heat even for leds.

Not seeing $36 after promo code? Anyone else north of $40+ (after tax)? Too bad, this would've been perfect for dad's garage -- they only use the door operator (on-board, dual) lights. EDIT:...

I doubt they are actually drawing 150w. They have to be using some sort of marketing stuff to come up with that number. And even then, these are huge, so the heat is going to be spread out way more,...

Chinese stuff always inflates lumens. Most likely there is inadequate heat sink and 80 watt draw is the result of the circuit self limiting due to heat.
