That’s exactly what you do, you don’t have to touch the car to dry it except that the very end with a good waffle weave towel. If you have a good coat of wax on it, it works even better!

I have many times, works well for what I need it to do. Mirrors, openings etc to get rid of remaining water. But I think my neighbors would hate me if I ran it the whole time to dry the car.

There are some 3d printed nozzles that focus air for these for drying cars. It's not quite the EGO version but it definitely is enough to dry the car especially if your intention is to go back over...
