Not sure why the item name says IPS on the BuyDig website. The specs at the bottom of the page says it is a VA panel and this is confirmed on LG's website too. ...

This 100% happens. I sent it in for repair and they didn't fix it. Sending it again and just going to demand a refund. It only happens if you use USB-C for video, but seems to be a defect.

You might need to lower the display port version on your monitor's settings or update the firmware of your GPU. I updated my 1080Ti's firmware and that really fixed that problem for me on my 27" LG...

It' seems to be mainly an issue with the USB-C video input only and most of the people reporting the problem seems to be Macs users. I only use the displayport and hdmi inputs and never had any black...

Got a similar model from Costco last year and a portion of the screen randomly blacks out. Also it was $350 at the time.

Well, with 3 star reviews and screen blacking out 2-5 seconds every 30 minutes, maybe it is not such a great deal

Purchased the HDMI/DP version at Costco in 2019. Monitor would go black for a few seconds regularly until I found a decent USB-C Thunderbolt hub that output 2160p@60hz over DisplayPort. Monitor...

VA is superior to IPS for my use case. IPS is terrible for text and programming, at least for my eyes. Way too bright. Now if you're into image and video editing, then IPS is better. ...
